JOOS’ Landmark Agreement With Marylebone Cricket Club

Fladgate has advised JOOS on the deal.

JOOS negotiated and successfully concluded a landmark agreement with the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) for JOOS to make available its portable mobile phone chargers to spectators and users of the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground.

JOOS, which provides mobile phone power banks on the go via an easy to use app-rental system, re-branded itself from ChargeBolt during 2020 and has invested significant sums in developing and manufacturing its own proprietary phone charging technology and equipment. The deal with MCC is validation of its strategy and significant milestone in its development, coming alongside several other similar deals recently signed and/or under negotiation with major venues.

Under the Chargebolt brand, the company successfully launched its product in June 2019, growing to over 1500 locations in its network.

Commercial and Regulatory partner, Alex Haffner (Picture), advised on the deal.
