Jacobs Douwe Egberts’ Acquisition of Repa AG And Fruchthof

Jacobs Douwe Egberts, a subsidiary of the Euronext Amsterdam listed JDE Peet’s Group, announced the acquisition of Repa AG and Fruchthof Aktiengesellschaft.

The target group supplies liquid concentrate of coffee, milk, cacao and tea as well as juice concentrate and is a provider of services related to coffee and juice machines in Switzerland. Since 1982 Repa has been the Swiss distributor for JDE’s Cafitesse liquid coffee and machines, including delivery and technical service, while Fruchthof juice systems use the same frozen technology as Cafitesse. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and expected to close in Q4 2020.

Jacobs Douwe Egberts is a Dutch company that owns numerous beverage brands (coffee, tea and hot chocolate). It was formed in 2015 following the merger of the coffee division of Mondelez International with Douwe Egberts.
