A pool of banks has granted a loan of € 150 million in favor of Irideos SpA – one of the main operators in Italy in the sector of infrastructures and ICT services for companies, with over 30,000 km of fiber optic network, 14 data centers and 3 Cloud platforms – approximately 78% owned by F2i and approximately 20% by the Marguerite fund.
The pool of banks is made up of UniCredit, Banca IMI, ING, UBI, BNP Paribas, Banco BPM, MPS and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.
The operation is aimed at supporting the financial needs of the Irideos Group on the basis of the new business plan until 2024 as well as to repay part of the group’s financial debt also deriving from recent corporate acquisitions.
DLA Piper assisted the pool of lending banks in relation to the legal aspects of the operation, with a team that involved partners Nino Lombardo, Federico Zucconi and Francesco Ferrari, coordinated by the lawyer Riccardo Pagotto and composed by the lawyer Oreste Sarra, Carolina Magaglio and Benedetta Cerantola. The aspects relating to derivatives were handled by the partner Vincenzo La Malfa.
Ashurst assisted Irideos and the F2i and Marguerite partners with a team composed of the partner Carloandrea Meacci, the senior associate Gabriele Pavanello and the associate Paolo Gallarà.
