Jones Day advised Integrated Power Services Holdings, Inc. on the deal.
Integrated Power Services (IPS), the North American leader in service, repair and engineering for electric motors, generators and rotating equipment, continues its strategic growth with the acquisition of Rotek Services.
Headquartered in Wichita, KS with a branch repair facility in Enid, OK, Rotek Services is a full-service electrical apparatus company. Rotek’s repair capability ranges from fractional up to 10,000 horsepower motors, including servo and spindle motor repair. The company is an EASA-certified compliant to AR100 and UL-accredited electric motor repair operation. It also provides field services and distribution to its customers.
Rotek’s two locations will join the IPS service center network as IPS Wichita and IPS Enid. IPS is already the North American leader in aftermarket wind generator services and Rotek adds to its capabilities. The two new IPS service centers are closer to wind farms in west Texas, northern Oklahoma, Kansas and New Mexico. These locations will become the seventh and eighth service centers qualified to perform wind generator repair in the IPS service network. Brian McNeil, Rotek’s founder and owner, will join IPS as the Area General Manager for IPS Wichita and IPS Enid, reporting to Jason McDonald, Senior Vice-President, Wind Power.
The Rotek acquisition fills a gap in IPS service coverage for the middle of the United States. The IPS North American service network now has 33 total locations and 25 repair centers for motors, generators and rotating equipment across North America.
Headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, IPS is the North American leader in the service of electric motors, generators and mechanical power transmission components, with over 5,000 customers across a wide range of asset-intensive industries, including but not limited to power generation (fossil, nuclear, hydro and wind), petrochemical, air separation, oil & gas, metals, underground mining, paper, aggregates and cement.
