Industrias CH’s Acquisition of ArcelorMittal’s Cariacica and Itaúna production plants

Grupo Simec, operating as a subsidiary of Industrias CH, finalized the acquisition of two ArcelorMittal’s production plants in Cariacica and Itaúna.

Industrias CH, S.A.B. de C.V. manufacture and process long steel products, in Mexico, United States and Canada. The company, led by Sergio Vigil Gonzalez, Guadalupe Torreblanca Ybarra and Eduardo Vigil Gonzalez, in 2017 recorded $1.17 Billion Revenues.


ArcelorMittal produces steel. The Company manufactures cold rolled, electrogalvanized and coated steels, slabs, special quality bars, and wire rods. Arcelor Mittal, led by Lakshmi N Mittal, Aditya Mittal and Jefferson De Paula has steel making operations worldwide. In 2017 the company recorded €61 Billion revenues.
