Hungry’s $8 million Series A Round Funding


Cooley advised Hungry, an online marketplace that connects independent chefs with the business and events catering market, on its $8 million Series A financing

Sands Capital Ventures and Motley Fool Ventures co-led the round, which also included participation from rapper and business mogul Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter’s Marcy Venture Partners, Grammy Award-winning singer Usher, former Whole Foods co-CEO Walter Robb and Crafted Hospitality owner and head judge/executive producer of Bravo’s “Top Chef,” Tom Colicchio.

Hungry will use the funding to continue investing in its digital marketplace and logistics platform and to accelerate growth in new markets across the US. The company currently operates in Washington, DC, and Philadelphia.

Cooley advised Hungry with a team including Mike Lincoln (Picture), Paula Fleckenstein and Samuel Lipson.
