Hitachi Capital UK PLC's €325 Million Zero Coupon Green Bonds Offer

Simmons & Simmons has advised HSBC, NatWest Markets, SMBC Nikko Capital Markets and Standard Chartered Bank.

Hitachi Capital UK PLC (HCUK) issued €325m zero coupon green bonds.

This is HCUK’s debut syndicated green bond.

The bonds, which are guaranteed by HCUK’s parent company Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc., were issued pursuant to the issuer’s €5.5 billion Euro medium term note programme, on which Simmons acts as counsel to the dealers. The proceeds of the bond issue will be used in financing or refinancing a portfolio of projects which meet the eligibility criteria set out in HCUK’s Green Finance Framework. The bonds are listed on the London Stock Exchange’s regulated market and Sustainable Bond Market.
