Baker Botts represented Hines on the deal
Hines and Ivanhoe Cambridge entered into a partnership to develop a 47-story, 1M SF office tower on the 800 block of Texas Avenue, formerly the Houston Chronicle site, near Milam, Prairie and Travis streets. The building is slated to open in 2021. Construction financing was provided by New York Life Real Estate Investors, a division of NYL Investors LLC. Vinson & Elkins will occupy the top seven floors, and Hines will move its own global headquarters to the building.
