Ashurst advised Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ) Frankfurt Branch and HSH Nordbank AG as lenders on the refinancing of the existing facilities and financing of new projects of hGears Holding GmbH with a volume of €50 million.
Longtime controlling shareholder of hGears is Finatem, a Frankfurt-based independent investment company focusing on SMEs.
hGears is undergoing strategic realignment and will increase its activities in the future-oriented electric mobility branch. The turnover in this division will be increased to 30 per cent of the group income via new customer agreements by 2020. The syndicated loan primarily serves the purpose of financing these new projects.
