HanseMerkur Grundvermögen’s Acquisition of Campus am Kunstpalast

HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG announced the acquisition of the “Campus am Kunstpalast” in Düsseldorf, Germany. The seller is a joint venture of J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Indigo Invest. HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG bundles all real estate activities of the HanseMerkur Insurance Group and acquired the property company by way of a share deal. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The state of North Rhine-Westphalia will be the tenant of the approximately 21,000 m² office building, which was built in 2001, for at least 15 years. The “Campus am Kunstpalast” is currently being modernized for the move-in of the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry for the Environment, Agriculture, Nature Conservation, and Consumer Protection.
