Guernsey Power Project’s $1.075 Billion Financing

Kirkland & Ellis advised the lenders on the financing for the approximately 1,875 megawatt Guernsey natural-gas-fueled electric generation facility in Ohio. Morgan Lewis represented Caithness Energy and Apex Power Group on the transaction.

The $1.075 billion financing was led by Investec Bank. Caithness Energy was the sponsor, with BlackRock providing preferred equity and AMP Capital providing mezzanine debt for the project.
