Gloria Group executed the acquisition – Through its subsidiary Yura Chile SpA, domiciled in the Republic of Chile – of the shares they held in Cementos Bío-Bío from Peruvian investors of the Gloria Group.
The business was carried out through Picton’s investment advisors and consisted of the sale of its total share package corresponding to 19. 05% of the cement company founded in 1957.
The Gloria Group is an industrial conglomerate of Peruvian capital with businesses in Peru, as well as in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina and Puerto Rico. Its activities are carried out in the dairy and food sectors, in cement, paper, agro-industry, transport and services.
This transaction represents the Gloria Group’s incursion into the Chilean market, through Yura, the group’s cement company.
