GreenTree Hospitality Group’s $142.8 Million Initial Public Offering

Simpson Thacher represented GreenTree Hospitality Group Ltd. in connection with its initial public offering and listing on the New York Stock Exchange of 10,200,000 American Depository Shares representing 10,200,000 Class A ordinary shares.

GreenTree raised a total of US$142.8 million in gross proceeds from the IPO before exercise of the underwriters’ overallotment option. Morgan Stanley, BofA Merrill Lynch and UBS Investment Bank acted as representatives for the underwriters of the offering.

GreenTree is the leading pure play franchised hotel operator in China and operates one of the fastest growing economy to mid-scale hotel networks in China. It was the fourth largest economy to mid-scale hotel group in China in terms of number of hotel rooms in 2016, according to China Hospitality Association. The company in 2017 recorded $115 Million Revenues.
