Grainger plc’ £345 million Rights Issue and £396 million Acquisition of GRIP REIT plc


Hogan Lovells has advised Grainger, the UK’s largest listed residential landlord, on its acquisition of GRIP – the residential property joint venture between Grainger and APG.

Grainger will acquire APG’s 75% stake in GRIP from APG for £396 million, subject to shareholder approval.

Grainger PLC is a residential property company. The Company, led by Helen Gordon, Vanessa Kate Simms and John Kenny, owns and operates residential rental properties in the United Kingdom and Germany, develops residential-led mixed use projects and retirement housing, and offers residential fund and asset management services. In 2017, Grainger PLC recorded £277 Million revenues.

Hogan Lovells advised Grainger with a team led by London Corporate Partners Jonathan Baird (Picture) and Dan Simons on both the acquisition and the rights issue.
