GoPlus And Costway’s Enforcement of Arbitration Pact

Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP advised GoPlus Corp. and its affiliated Costway.com Inc. on the deal.

The case involved GoPlus Corp. and its affiliated Costway.com Inc. The California Court of Appeals ruled that an arbitration pact between the online retailer and a former employee is enforceable. The ruling reverses a trial court decision and has the effect of defeating class action employment claims that exposed the client to millions of dollars in alleged liability.

The Troutman Pepper team included Mark Payne (Picture), Partner Misha Tseytlin, Counsel Elizabeth Andrews, and Associates Sean Dutton, Lauren Grochow and Kristalyn Lee.
