Georgia Power Company $1.5 Billion Senior Notes Offerings

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised the underwriters on SEC-registered offerings by Georgia Power Company (Georgia Power) of $300 million aggregate principal amount of Series 2019B 2.65% Senior Notes due September 15, 2029, $700 million aggregate principal amount of Series 2020A 2.10% Senior Notes due July 30, 2023, and $500 million aggregate principal amount of Series 2020B 3.70% Senior Notes due January 30, 2050.

J.P. Morgan, Mizuho Securities, MUFG, PNC Capital Markets LLC and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey acted as Joint Book-Running Managers on the offering.

Georgia Power is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Southern Company. Georgia Power is engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution and purchase of electricity and the sale of electric service within the State of Georgia, at retail in over 600 communities (including Athens, Atlanta, Augusta, Columbus, Macon, Rome and Savannah) as well as in rural areas, and at wholesale, currently, to OPC, MEAG Power, Dalton, various EMCs and non-affiliated utilities.
