GCM Grosvenor Secondary Opportunities Fund II’s $700 Million Fundraising

Simpson Thacher represented GCM Grosvenor (“Grosvenor”) in the establishment of GCM Grosvenor Secondary Opportunities Fund II, L.P.

Grosvenor has announced that the fund, which will primarily pursue secondary market purchases of interests in established private funds, raised approximately $700 million in capital commitments, far exceeding its original target of $250 million.

Grosvenor Limited develops, invests, and manages real estate properties in Britain and Ireland, the Americas, the Asia Pacific, and internationally. The Firm, led by Mark Robin Preston, Nicholas Richard Scarles and Craig David McWilliam, is based in London.
