Galileo Global Education Group’s Takeover Of The PFH Private University Of Göttingen


Osborne Clarke advised Galileo Global Education Group on the takeover of the PFH Private University of Göttingen.

The completion of the transaction is still subject to the approval of the competition authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

After 25 years of successful development, the partners of PFH Private University of Göttingen have decided to join Galileo Global Education Germany in order to accelerate the university’s development and strengthen its leadership role in the field of distance learning.

Galileo is Europe’s largest university group, both in terms of geographical distribution and breadth of its offer. With 42 brands around 100,000 students in 13 countries are served. Galileo focuses on the interdisciplinarity between management and creative arts and promotes innovations that are required by increasing digitalization. The group includes the Macromedia University in Germany, the Istituto Marangoni in Italy and the Paris School of Business (PSB).
