Fox, Turner’s acquisition of broadcast rights to Argentine soccer


Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi, Carcavallo Larrechea & Asociados and Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal have advised on the transaction

Twenty-First Century Fox Inc and Time Warner Inc won a joint contract to broadcast Argentine soccer matches for five years from next season.

According to local media Fox and Turner would pay $206 million per year and some $77.2 million as a guarantee.

Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal has advised Turner Broadcasting System Latin America with Miguel del Pino, Bárbara Ramperti, Daniel Di Paola, Walter Keiniger, Pablo Gayol, María Lucila Escriña, Diego Fernández, Mariano Morat and Pablo Sánchez Costa.
