Fortress REIT’s Acquisition of Two Logistics Parks from Griffin Property Finance

Fortress REIT, a South African owner and developer of logistics properties, executed the acquisition of two logistics parks (Waimea Logistic Park Bydgoszcz and Waimea Logistic Park Stargard) from Griffin Property Finance. This is Fortress REIT’s first investment transaction in Poland.

Waimea Logistic Park Bydgoszcz is a warehouse, logistics and production center with a total planned leasable area of 90,000 sq. m. It will include six modern A-class halls. Waimea Logistic Park Stargard, on the other hand, comprises an existing 11,500 sq. m. hall with a potential for further development to a target space of approximately 80,000 sq. m. Both projects are located within regional industrial zones in the vicinity of major urban agglomerations. The access to expressways and highways allows fast transport of goods, and the proximity of the western border encourages significant interest of Polish and foreign companies in leasing the space.
