FireEye’s $400 Million Series A Convertible Preferred Stock


Simpson Thacher represented Blackstone in a preferred equity investment in FireEye.

Investment vehicles affiliated with Blackstone Tactical Opportunities and ClearSky, a cyber security-focused investment firm, agreed to purchase an aggregate amount of $400 million of FireEye’s Series A Convertible Preferred Stock. The transactions are subject to customary closing conditions and are expected to close by the end of 2020.

FireEye provides comprehensive intelligence-based cybersecurity solutions that allow organizations to prepare for, prevent, investigate, respond to and remediate cyber attacks, including attacks targeting on-premise, cloud, hybrid and critical infrastructure environments.
