Fideicomiso Forestal Terraligna’s Restructuring

Guyer & Regules advised on the transaction

Cambium Forestal Uruguay S.A finalized the restructuring of Fideicomiso Financiero Forestal Terraligna and the $60.4 Million Offering of Units.

TMF Group acted as trustee and Cambium Forestal acted as settlor.

CAMBIUM S.A. was formed in 2005, in Chile, to provide forestry related services to investors and companies.

These services include all the technical and administrative support of the forest production chain, from the acquisition of forestry assets and establishing plantations, to the marketing of products.

Its founders took the initiative after working together for more than fifteen years in a Chilean forestry company, accumulating a profound knowledge of the forest industry, nationally and globally.

Later, in 2007, they expanded the business geography and established CAMBIUM Forestal Uruguay S.A. in Uruguay, to manage forest funds owned by institutional investors.

Currently CAMBIUM is responsible for the administration of about 122,000 hectares in Chile and Uruguay, which are mostly linked to investment funds.
