Falck Renewables S.p.A.’s Acquisition Of 70% Interest In Iron SPV S.r.l.


DLA Piper and Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners have advised Falck Renewables and Canadian Solar Group on the deal.

Falck Renewables S.p.A. has acquired 70% interest of Iron SPV S.r.l. from Canadian Solar Group. Iron SPV S.r.l. owns a solar project currently under development in Sicily for a total capacity of about 35 MW.

The project has secured grid connection and preliminary land rights and will apply for permits and authorizations in 2020. Upon obtaining the construction authorizationsfor the project, Falck Renewables will acquire the remaining 30% of Iron SPV S.r.l.

DLA Piper advised Falck Renewables S.p.A. on the transaction with a team led by senior partner Francesco Novelli (Picture) alongside Fabio Lenzini and Roberta Padula for Corporate M&A matters, while Massimo Schirinzi and Elena Granati advised on real estate aspects.

Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners advised Canadian Solar Group on the deal with a team led by partner Gianfranco Toscano, assisted by senior associate Filippo Manaresi and associate Shin-In Young.
