Goodwin advised Confirm.io on the deal

Facebook finalized the acquisition of Confirm.io.

Confirm.io makes authenticating a government-issued identification card fast, easy and secure. Its software integrates in minutes to confirm a person’s identity for any transaction requiring remote identity proofing. The Boston-based startup will merge its operations including both its team and technology with Facebook.

Confirm.io, led by J. Robert Geiman, Ralph A. Rodriguez, Walter A. Doyle Jr. and Theodore Kuklinski had raised at least $4 million from investors, including Cava Capital, since launching.

The Goodwin team was led by partners John Egan (Picture) and Ian Engstrand and included associates Robert Dzialo, Daniel Isaacs and Brian Fleming.
