Export Development Canada’ $300 Million financing for Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (Codelco)

Export Development Canada (EDC) structured a $300 Million loan in favour of Corporación Nacional del Cobre: Chile’s largest state-owned copper producer.

Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile engages in the exploration, development, and exploitation of copper mineral resources and byproducts in Chile. The company, led by Nelson Pizarro Contador, Alejandro Rivera Stambuck, Luis Farias Lasarte, Gonzalo Cuadra and José Antonio Álvarez López is based in Santiago.

Export Development Canada operates as an export credit agency. The company, led by Benoit Daignault, Ken Kember, Carl Burlock, Arthur FitzGerald and Jim McArdle, is based in Ottawa.
