EVM Tenedora Completes $740 Million Financing of 850 MW Power Plant

EVM Tenedora, S.A.P.I. de C.V. executed an hybrid 4(a)(2) private placement, term loan and letter of credit facility for a natural gas-fired power plant in Mexico called EVM II.

GE Capital EFS Financing, Inc. invested in the project.

The EVM II project is an 850 MW greenfield combined cycle power plant, part of a broader energy modernization and expansion program being undertaken by Mexico’s state utility, CFE.

Citibank, BNP Paribas, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior, SNC acted as banking Syndicate on the financing.

Shearman & Sterling advised GE Capital EFS Financing, Inc. with a team including Robert Freedman (Picture) Ethan Harris, Jason Pratt, Jackson N.H. Murley, Claire Melvin and Udoaku Camilla Ihenetu.
