Euro Vital Pharma Group’s Refinancing

Taylor Wessing and Cuatrecasas advised Euro Vital Pharma Group on refinancing, while Apera was advised by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Euro Vital Pharma Group (“EVP Group”), a portfolio company of funds advised by capiton AG (“capiton”), successfully refinanced its existing financing.  

EVP is among Europe’s leading private label OTC healthcare specialists, offering a broad range of products across various indications. EVP is a full-service provider, featuring own R&D and distribution capabilities and has also access to dedicated own production capacities. 

capiton is an independent, owner-managed private equity firm that manages a total fund volume over €1.0 billion. The investment portfolio of capiton AG currently comprises 17 medium-sized companies. As an equity partner, capiton supports management buy-outs and growth financing in established medium-sized companies.

The pan-european mid-market debt fund Apera, together with Deutsche Bank AG and Hamburger Sparkasse, provided the financing, comprising a Unitranche loan in combination with super senior term loans and an RCF facility. The financing has been tailored to support EVP-Group’s further growth plans as well as the refinancing of recent acquisitions in Spain, the UK and Slovakia.
