Enstar’s $879.3 Million Shares Repurchase

Debevoise & Plimpton and Carey Olsen advised Hillhouse Capital Management in the transaction.

Hillhouse Capital Management closed its agreement to sell its 3,749,400 ordinary shares of Enstar Group Limited (NASDAQ: ESGR) back to Enstar. The shares were priced at $234.52 per share totaling $879.3 million, and represent Hillhouse funds’ entire interest in Enstar.

Hillhouse is an investment management firm for institutional clients and also invests in public equity and private markets worldwide. Enstar is a leading global insurance group that delivers insurance solutions to its clients.
