Enel Américas’s $6 Billion Acquisition of Enel Green Power Business In Latin America

Carey and Winston & Strawn advised on the transaction

Enel Américas approved the merger proposal with Latin American operations of Enel Green Power (EGP).

As a result of the acquisition, Enel Américas will add renewable capacity up to to 7.8GW by 2024.

The transaction will include EGP’s renewable generation assets in Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Panama.

Enel Americas currently owns distribution, transmission and generation assets in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Peru.
