Emergent Cold Latin America’s Acquisition of Frigorifico Pacifico

Emergent Cold Latin America (“Emergent”, owned by US-based LINEAGE LOGISTICS HOLDING, LLC) executed the acquisition of Frigorifico Pacifico SpA (“Friopacífico”) from Blumar Seafoods (a company listed in  the Santiago Exchange) and Inversiones Galletué S. A. (privately-held company controlled by the Stengel family). Emergent’s acquisition of Friopacífico is part of a growth plan including additional storage capacity and blast freezing capability. 

Friopacífico is the leading cold storage company in Chile and is key player to the country’s fishing and fruit export industries. The company operates three major facilities located in Talcahuano and San Pedro de la Paz, by Chile’s Talcahuano, Lirquén, San Vicente and Coronel, the VIII Region main ports.

Emergent Cold Latin America is building the highest quality cold storage network to provide integrated, end-to-end temperature-controlled logistics solutions to customers throughout Latin America. The Company was founded to fill a need for modern cold-chain solutions within the market and to serve the increasing demand from domestic and global trade customers.

44 Capital Finanças Corporativas acted as financial advisor to Emergent. Debt financing for the transaction was provided by Scotiabank.
