Embracer Group’s Acquisition of Easybrain Limited

Baker McKenzie advised Embracer, while Latham & Watkins LLP advised Easybrain Group Limited on the transaction. Cirio acted as Swedish legal counsel to the sellers.

Easybrain Limited was acquired for an initial purchase price of USD 640 million on a cash and debt-free basis plus an additional consideration of up to USD 125 million. Through the acquisition, Embracer adds a leading mobile game developer with proven ability to launch, scale up and operate multiple global category leaders within the logic and puzzle game genre. The sellers, Easybrain’s senior management, Peter Skoromnyi, Matvey Timoshenko and Oleg Grushevich, will post-closing, jointly become the third largest shareholder in Embracer.

Embracer Group AB is the parent company of businesses developing and publishing PC, console and mobile games for the global games market.
