Arntzen de Besche assisted Ecofisk in securing its first equity round.
Ecofisk, a company aiming to establish a state of the art land based fish farming facility in Espevik in Western Norway, raised its first round of equity capital from external investors. The investors include both technology suppliers and industrial players.
Ecofisk is initially planning a new land-based grow-out facility of 5,000 tonnes, and holds a license for producing up to 40,000 tonnes.
Ecofisk is a young company, founded in 2018, with a mature business idea. thE salmon production site is located in the south-west of Norway, a region fostering salmon farming pioneers and host to several of the international salmon business majors. The founding Ecofisk team has extensive industrial track records from seafood and ocean-based industries. Ecofisk will produce both post-smolt and harvest size salmon at our 300 000 m² production site.
