Görg Rechtsanwälte advised E.I.S. Aircraft Products and Services GmbH.
The aviation supplier E.I.S. Aircraft Products and Services GmbH, headquartered in Euskirchen, has filed an application with the competent local court in Bonn to open insolvency proceedings under its own administration due to imminent illiquidity.
Business operations will be maintained in full. The experienced restructuring expert Dr. Jörg Bornheimer of GÖRG Insolvenzverwaltung Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB has been appointed as chief representative of E.I.S. Aircraft Products and Services GmbH to support the company. The lawyer and restructuring expert Dirk Obermüller from dhpg in Bonn has been appointed as provisional trustee by the competent insolvency court.
The worldwide corona pandemic and the reduced volume of air traffic led to a negative market situation and considerable losses in turnover. The restructuring concept pursued by the self-governing body is now to be implemented on the basis of an insolvency plan. “Major customers have already indicated that they will support the intended restructuring,” said Dr Bornheimer. The aim is to consolidate E.I.S. and make it fit for the future.
E.I.S. Aircraft Products and Services GmbH has been an established product and service provider with a focus on the aviation industry for more than 60 years. At its locations in Euskirchen, Lemgo and Munich, E.I.S. Aircraft employs around 275 people. In the last financial year 2019, E.I.S. generated a turnover of over 36 million euros.
