Duke Energy Florida, LLC’s $400 Million Senior Notes Offering

Hunton & Williams LLP advised Duke Energy Florida, LLC (the “Company”) on an SEC-registered offering of $400 million aggregate principal amount of 2.10% Amortizing Senior Notes due 2019.

The Company, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Duke Energy Corporation, generates, transmits, distributes and sells electricity in portions of Florida. The Company’s service area covers approximately 13,000 square miles and supplies electric service to 1.8 million residential, commercial and industrial customers. As of December 31, 2016, the Company’s asset portfolio includes approximately 8, 839 megawatts of owned generation capacity, 44,600 miles of distribution lines and 5,200 miles of transmission lines.
