Cyfrowy Polsat Group’s refinancing

Greenberg Traurig advised Cyfrowy Polsat Group in connection with a signing of the Second Amendment and Restatement Deed to the loan agreements signed in September 2015 with a consortium of Polish and foreign financial institutions for a term loan of up to PLN 11.5 billion and a revolving loan of up to PLN 1 billion.

These loans remain the largest and most innovative corporate loans made in the Polish currency.

The Second Amendment and Restatement Deed changed, among others, the final repayment date of loans incurred by the Cyfrowy Polsat Group in 2015 and the level of the consolidated net debt / consolidated EBITDA ratio at which Cyfrowy Polsat may demand to release of collaterals established in connection with the loan agreements or after which the company will have to re-establish the released collaterals.

Greenberg Traurig lawyers advised on all aspects of the transaction with a team led by Partner Aleksander Janiszewski (picture), supported by Senior Associate Paulina Kimla-Kaczorowska and Associate Martyna Komorniczak. The strategic supervision over the transaction was carried out by the Managing Partner of the Warsaw office Jaroslaw Grzesiak.
