Corsair Capital’s Acquisition of Jackson Hewitt Tax Service


Simpson Thacher represented affiliates managed by Corsair Capital LLC in connection with the acquisition of a controlling stake in Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. from an affiliate of H.I.G. Bayside Capital, which closed on May 31, 2018.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Jackson Hewitt is the second-largest assisted tax-preparation service in the United States and operates nearly 6,000 franchised and company-owned locations nationwide.
