Codelco signed an agreement with Anglo American Sur in order to coordinate activities in Río Blanco and Los Bronces Mines.

Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (Codelco), together with its subsidiaries, engages in the exploration, development, and exploitation of copper mineral resources and byproducts in Chile.

Anglo American Sur, S.A. operates as a copper mining and smelting company in Chile. The Company owns and operates copper mines that produce copper concentrate, copper cathode, and molybdenum. Anglo American Sur also owns and operates a copper smelter that produces copper anode.

Cleary Gottlieb advised Codelco on the negotiation.
