Cloud&Heat Technologies GmbH’s Round Funding

Bryan Cave and Weil, Gotshal & Manges have advised on the transaction

The technology company Cloud&Heat Technologies GmbH has secured substantial funding for the continued expansion of its business operations through the combination of a capital increase and a convertible loan from INVEN CAPITAL and VNG Innovation GmbH.

Cloud&Heat was advised on the financing by a corporate and venture capital team of Bryan Cave LLP including Michael Leue (Picture) Maximilian Karacz, Hubertus Schröder (Corporate) and Dominik Weiß (IP).

INVEN CAPITAL was advised by the Frankfurt office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP with Kamyar Abrar, Christian Tappeiner and Micha Gersdorf.

Cloud&Heat designs, builds and operates green, water-cooled public and private cloud data centers and also offers containerized solutions. The company’s products are unique in reusing up to 90 percent of server heat.

INVEN CAPITAL is a venture capital fund established by the CEZ-Group and VNG Innovation GmbH is an investment company of VNG – Verbundnetz Gas AG. Both CEZ-Group and VNG -Verbundnetz Gas AG are major European energy utilities which have successfully invested in other clean energy concepts in Germany.
