City of Copenhagen’s Cloud Infrastructure Tender Procedure

Horten assisted the City of Copenhagen.

City of Copenhagen has been involved with the preparation of the tender documents, the tender procedure and processor agreements.

As the first and largest player in the public sector, the City of Copenhagen invited tenders for a contract in 2019 concerning transition of the City’s infrastructure to cloud. The contract involves all seven administrations and means that 250 IT systems must be transferred to cloud.

In July, after a well-conducted tender procedure, the City of Copenhagen appointed Atea with Microsoft as sub-supplier as the winners of the contract. The plan is that the City of Copenhagen will close its two physical data centres no later than 1 September 2021.

Horten team included Andreas Christensen (Picture), Annelouise Dalgaard Pedersen and Anne Katrine Elkjær-Holm.
