BTG Pactual Chile has brought its asset management and brokerage units under the umbrella of its local bank, wrapping up a five-year process to boost its product offering.

Banco BTG Pactual Chile bought from its parent company an almost 100% stake in BTG Pactual Administradora Chile General de Fondos (AGF) and BTG Pactual Chile Corredores de Bolsa.

The two business units have started operating as subsidiaries of the bank effective immediately instead of being under the Chilean parent company.

Along with a recent capital increase by Banco BTG Pactual, the incorporation of the affiliates provides a more robust financial backing, giving the bank and its affiliates more competitive acess to new business.
