Bronstein, Zilberberg, Chueiri and Potenza team up to form a new Law Firm

Leading hundreds of deals involving technology companies in recent years, Sérgio Bronstein, Eduardo Zilberberg, Pedro Chueiri and Guilherme Potenza decided to create a law firm focused in advising emerging growth technology companies, venture capital and private equity funds, in addition to clients in traditional high-profile M&A.

“Our goal is to assist our clients from the beginning of their journey right up until an exit event”, says Sergio Bronstein.

Bronstein, Zilberberg, Chueiri & Potenza Advogados brings together the expertise of a team of more than 30 lawyers and a complete service, encompassing the areas of tax, intellectual property and privacy, labor, fintechs, banking and regulatory (Brazilian Central Bank and stock exchange), in addition to the core practices of the firm: Venture Capital and Corporate/M&A.

“Our mission is to contribute to the ecosystem, spreading the best practices from Silicon Valley and advising investors and entrepreneurs in building a more balanced and enduring governance which is often the key to success,” says Eduardo Zilberberg.

The firm begins its operations with more than 200 startups and 30 funds as clients, including CVC funds of major banks and listed companies.

“Although we have a big challenge ahead, we have a great synergy of values and culture and this will certainly help us to ensure that our clients’ journey is a successful one”, says Pedro Chueiri.

The group of founding partners, who came from highly prestigious law firms such as Veirano, Ulhôa Canto and Dias Carneiro, brings with them the experience of having participated in some of the most important deals in Brazil’s technology sector – including landmark transactions such as the sale of 99 Taxis to Didi, the IPO of Decolar.com, the sale of Beleza na Web to Grupo Boticário, and the sale of RD Station to Totvs.

According to Guilherme Potenza, “Bronstein, Zilberberg, Chueiri & Potenza’s mission is to captivate clients, change the game and help foster important areas of the Brazilian economy, with the authority of those who strive for quality, integrity and partnership”.
