Boralex’s $1.7 Billion Refinancing of its Wind Farm Assets in France

Boralex, a Canadian leader in the renewable energy market and France’s leading independent provider of onshore wind, has finalized the refinancing of nearly all of its wind farms operating in France for $ 1.7 billion billion (€ 1.1 billion), spread over three credit agreements maturing in 2034, 2036 and 2040 respectively. This is the largest refinancing of the renewable energy industry in France and indisputably the largest financing. of Boralex’s story.

In addition to the amount released on the corporate credit facility, the financing includes $ 200 million (€ 140 million) for the construction of short-term projects. Finally, an additional $ 180 million (€ 125 million) of financing that can be used to finance the construction of future projects is planned for early 2020 after finalizing the necessary documentation.
