BKI Investment Company Limited’s A$202 million ordinary shares offering

Ashurst has acted as the Australian legal adviser to BKI Investment Company Limited (BKI) in relation to its offer of up to approximately 134,840,599 new fully paid ordinary shares to raise up to A$202 million.

The equity raising comprises of a non-renounceable pro rata entitlement offer to all eligible shareholders of 1 New Share for every 15 existing shares held at the record date of 14 May 2018 at A$1.50 per New Share (Offer Price) to raise approximately A$62.2 million (Entitlement Offer); and an offer to the general public for up to 93,351,184 New Shares at the Offer Price to raise up to approximately A$140 million (General Offer).

If the Entitlement Offer is not fully taken up, an offer of the shortfall will be made to the general public, including eligible shareholders who wish to apply for additional New Shares in excess of their entitlement, at the Offer Price (Shortfall Offer).

The net proceeds from the equity raising will be used by BKI to expand its investment portfolio in accordance with its investment strategy.

The Ashurst team was led by partner Anton Harris (Corporate, in picture) and included lawyers Alli Clark and Diana Oh, with graduate Jessie Shu (Corporate).
