Bibox’s Securities Class Action Victory

Brown Rudnick LLP advised Bibox on the deal.

Bibox, a leading digital currency trading platform, obtained a securities class action victory. The suit had alleged violations of securities law. In a decision issued on April 16, 2021 by the Honorable Denise Cote of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, the ruling dismissed the class action against Bibox for lack of standing and as barred by the statute of limitations. The decision handed Bibox and Brown Rudnick litigators a notable win in a case that has been closely watched by participants in the fintech space and beyond.

The Brown Rudnick team was led by Sigmund Wissner-Gross, (Picture), Clara Krivoy, and Ashley Baynham. The team also included Honieh Udenka, David Rosenthal, and Elizabeth Hosang.
