Bharti Airtel’s $2 Billion Shares Offering and $1 Billion Bond Offering


AZB & Partners advised Bharti Airtel on the offering, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co represented the managers on the qualified institutions placement and foreign currency convertible bonds.

As reported in Legally India and in others online publications Bharti Airtel launched a qualified placement of shares worth $2 billion and overseas convertible bond issue for raising another $1 billion.

Bharti Airtel Limited is a global telecommunications company with operations in 18 countries across Asia and Africa.

Bankers involved in the fund raise included Axis Capital, JP Morgan, Citigroup Global Markets, BNP Paribas, BoFa Securities-DSP Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, HDFC Bank and HSBC Securities and Capital Markets.
