Berry Global Group’s $475 Million Acquisition of lopay Plastic Products Company


Dechert LLP advised Griffon Corporation GFF on the sale of Clopay Plastic Products Company to Berry Global Group, Inc. for $475 million in cash.

The transaction is expected to close within the first calendar quarter of 2018.

Griffon Corporation is a diversified management and holding company that conducts business through wholly-owned subsidiaries. Clopay Plastics is a provider of specialty plastic films.

Berry Global Group, Inc. manufactures and distributes engineered materials, nonwoven specialty materials, and consumer packaging products. The company, led by Thomas E. Salmon, Jonathan D. Rich, Mark W. Miles, Scott M. Tracey and Curtis L. Begle, is based in Evansville.
