Barrick Gold Corporation’s 50 Percent Interest In Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines Sale To Saracen Mineral Holdings Limited

Herbert Smith Freehills advised Barrick Gold Corporation on the sale of its 50% interest in Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines for US$750 million to Saracen Mineral Holdings Limited.

KCGM owns and operates the Super Pit gold mine in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia.

Barrick Gold Corporation is the largest gold mining company in the world, with its headquarters in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Saracen Mineral Holdings Limited operates as a holding company. The Company, through its subsidiaries, explores and mines gold and other minerals. Saracen Mineral Holdings serves customers in Australia.
