Banten IPP’s $775 Million Project Bond

Shearman & Sterling represented Citigroup, Barclays, CIMB and SMBC as initial purchasers in connection with LLPL Capital Pte. Ltd.’s Rule 144A/Regulation S offering of $775 million in aggregate principal amount of 6.875% senior notes due 2039, unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by PT Lestari Banten Energi.

PT Lestari Banten Energi is an independent power producer that operates a 670 MW coal-fired power generation facility in West Java, Indonesia and provides electricity directly to the Java-Bali power grid under a long-term power purchase agreement with PLN.

Shearman & Sterling represented Citigroup, Barclays, CIMB and SMBC acting as initial purchasers with a team including Andrew Schleider (Picture), Bill McCormack, Anna Chung, Hae-Ran Song, Scott Baggett, David Wallace.
