Atairos’ acquisition of 26% ownership stake in TriNet Group, Inc.


Simpson Thacher has advised Atairos Group, Inc. in connection with its agreement to acquire General Atlantic’s approximately 26% ownership stake in TriNet Group, Inc. (NYSE: TNET) for approximately $440 million in cash.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2017, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

TriNet is a leading provider of comprehensive human resources solutions for small to midsize businesses. Atairos was launched in 2016 with more than $4 billion in committed capital and is an independent, private company focused on supporting growth-oriented businesses across a wide range of industries.
