Asmodee’s Acquisition Galápagos Jogos

Demarest and Trench Rossi Watanabe (Baker McKenzie) advised on the deal

Asmodee Group has entered into exclusive discussions to acquire Galápagos Jogos, one of the main distributors in Brazil.

Established in 2009, Galápagos is currently one of the leading Brazilian board game companies. Since 2013 – after starting dealing of its first big international board games – Galápagos’s success follows the board game and puzzle market’s growth worldwide, one of the most dynamic in the entertainment industry.

With the acquisition of long-time partner Galápagos Jogos, Asmodee opens a direct presence in South America, strengthening its international presence alongside its offices in 14 countries across Europe, North America and China. The Group also relies on 13 publishing studios spread around the world.
